Best Hair Product Over/Under $10 / £5 !

Crystal over at unitedkinkdom just reminded me about this blog post  which I think we can do again! I know the money exhange rate is no longer the same but let us go for easy figures and keep it the same.

Our favourite products change from time to time so let me know YOUR

1. Best Shampoo - Under $10 (UK - Under £5)
2. Best Shampoo - Over $10 (UK - Over £5)
3. Best Conditioner - Under $10 (UK - Under £5)
4. Best  Conditioner - Over $10 (UK - Over £5)

My answers now

1. Herbal Essences Dazzling Shine
2. Yes, hell would still have to freeze over for me to fork over over  £5 for a shampoo
3. L'Oreal Eversleek Smoothing & Nourish Conditioner
4.  (My previous favourite is no longer sold, tried Aubrey Organics HSR and hated it, planning to at some point try Jessicurl deep conditioning treatment, whenever my cheap brain tries to act like it has no sense and allows me to part with the cash.)

Over to you!

  1. Oh the last series of this was fun and helpful

    1. Elasta qp mango butter shampoo
    2. Have never purchased a shampoo over $3 lol
    3. Organic root stimulator replinishing conditioner or Loreal total repair 5 restoring conditioner
    4. Alberto Beverly Hills hair mask

  2. 1. Best Shampoo - Mane n Tail! I paid $2.50 for a liter!
    2. Best Shampoo - Garnier Triple Nutrition I paid $10 for shampoo, condish, dc and oil
    3. Best Conditioner Mane n Tail $2.50, baby!
    4. Best Conditioner - Garnier Triple Nutrition
    5. ORS Repleninshing is old faithful.

I decided last fall to only buy products under $10 and that were available in a brick and morter store. These are the products I'm using on my hair right now and I'm getting awesome results and saving so much money!

  3. 1. I don't have one. I haven't been super impressed with any shampoos <$10/£5 but I'd like to find one asap for my poor budgets sake
    2. I'm on a Lush kick right now and I've fallen head over heels for their Fair Trade Honey Shampoo and Cynthia Sylvia Stout
    3. Aussie Moist/Hello Hydration
    4. I go through conditioner so fast I refuse to spend over $10 on it. It's not happening. Ever!

  4. 1. Rhassoul Clay (for a clay wash) I can usually get 4 oz for 7.99. Although that's only about 4 uses.
    2. I don't think I've ever paid over 10 bucks for a shampoo. Maybe a bottle of Kenra yeaaarssss ago.
    3. Beautiful Textures Rapid Repair Deep Conditioner. Usually between 5.99 - 7.99 at Sally's. This stuff is my hair crack. I have to force myself to try other things and use up the substantial pile of other conditioners I have. Smells great, very moisturizing.
    4. Aubrey Organics GPB conditioner. Which can be gotten for less than 10 but I think I've paid 10.99 for it.

  5. 1. Best Shampoo - Herbal Essences Hello Hydration 2-in-1 Shampoo
    2. Best Shampoo - Shea Moisture Yucca & Baobab Thickening Shampoo (buy 1x yearly since I shampoo 1-2x monthly. $10 for years worth of shampoo. Not bad :o) )
    3. Best Conditioner - Tresemme Naturals Nourishing Moisture
    4. Best Conditioner - Shea Moisture Yucca & Baobab Volumizing Conditioner

Shea Moisture is really the ONLY product line worthy for me to pay a pinch over $10. They last me a long while given a little goes a long way with their products. I use their products for my whole family too. :o)

  6. Best Shampoo Under $10 - Trader Joes Tea Tree Tingle
" " Over $10 - Lush Cosmetics Fair Trade Honey or Flying Fox Shower Gel...yes yes I will use my body care as shampoo if the ingredients are right. HA!
Best Conditioner Under $10 - Shea Moisture Yellow or Black label, Aubrey Organics GPB
" " Over $10 - Aveda Dry Remedy (moisture) or Damage Remedy (protein) Treatment Mask, Lush Cosmetics Henna Fluff Ease (more of a pre shampoo treatment) ...but I generally don't buy conditioners over $10 for regular personal use...I'll just pair my regulars with oil mixtures if I want something extra and I'm good to go!
