Well done : We are not Sheep

I thought I would be able to make a coherent table from the one product only  post, however after going through the first 20 or so and finding just a mere 3 matching products in only one category I decided to abandon ship.

I actually ended up learning that there are many more products out there (Terresentials - what is that?). In a sense the list which was supposed to be a way to streamline our choices actually is great fodder for the aspiring product junkie.

I was doubly happy that products which I consider dubious but with a lot of publicity attached were not on the list (my mouth is staying zipped!).

In short we are not sheep. We are not blindly following advertisement. We are quite often switching between brands and choosing products that work for our hair. So well done to you (and me!) !

  2. lol Lady Jaye - I don't think they need more publicity! They clearly have the means to be so publicly heard. I will reserve my little corner here for the little guys :)

  3. Haha, I'm with Lady Jaye. I generally don't believe hype either, but I'd love to know which overly popular products are getting the secret side-eye from you, Jc!

  5. I think I know which one JC is talking about - they get a massive side eye from most people! The Terresentials wash - I heard Naptural85 talk about it, it's her shampoo and Milan from A grl can mac made her own version!

  6. Jc, you should take some credit for this. You've invested so much time into this blog and provided the information and facts we need to make educated choices about our hair products. I thank YOU for sending me out into the stores with knowledge I needed not to be hoodwinked by advertisements.

  9. Thanks for that post! That is the purpose of our hair journeys----getting to know OUR OWN hair, and what works for us. I say it repeatedly, that we give ourselves too little credibility in our hair process, which is crazy, because this is OUR HAIR on OUR OWN HEAD. There's isn't one magic product, and if so, it can change.

Since my hair has gotten healthy, it reacts differently to some oils and products...and my relaxed hair prefers ceramide oils over coconut oil. My natural hair isn't playing around with moisture---so you gotta "watch your own head" and less of Youtube.
