So nice I bought it twice - Deep conditioners

So by popular demand, let us make a list of your favourite deep conditioners. If you do not deep condition (i.e leave conditioner for a long time and/or use heat) then do refer to the previous rinse out conditioner list.

Here is what you need to list
1. Conditioner that you have bought at least twice on separate occassions.
2. Hair type and length
3. How you 'deep condition'

For example - Yes to Carrots, Type 3 chin length, 30 minutes no heat.

As always if you make your own concotion or use non-commercial conditioners (clays, mayonnaise etc), this is welcome and if you do not like a particular conditioner also feel free to comment.

Happy commenting!!

  4. Completely unrelated but, yo Jc...
So I finally managed to restrain my 'convert-everything-to-dollars' disease and went to boots to buy some hair product. PJism is not good! But I have an excuse - I don't know if I can get everything in Ghana.

But Lord, VO5 is expensive in the UK! I think the conditioner I got was the cheapest - and it's almost 4x as expensive as the US VO5!! (But the packaging looks more legit in the UK) Is that what you guys are paying for - packaging? Or is the UK version a bit better than the US one? Oh - I know how it's relevant to this post - I saw a VO5 deep cleansing shampoo and conditioner too! There. :D

  9. I don't know lady jaye I have not used VO5 before. Everything tends to be more expensive in UK. I did think though that VO5 should be in the herbal essences price range. I'll check when I'm next in town

  12. Aubrey Organics GPB.
4b/4c/Really nappy. Between shoulder length and armpit length.
I use a healthy portion (about half a cup) with several table spoons olive oil and leave on with a plastic bag over my head for 30 min to an hour. No heat

Sometimes I use AO Honeysuckle Rose, but it's not as softening, I feel like, and I like getting a little bit of protein from the GPB.

  13. Moisturizing conditioner- Giovanni- hydrating-calming conditioner (I've been adding a wee bit on coconut oil to it)

I'm mostly a 4a in the front and sides then 4b/c in the back and kitchen. My hair is b/w 4-5 inches unstretched.

I like to put the condish on at night and tie it up with scarf if not I leave it on (no heat for at least an hour)

When i do use heat I usually do a protein condish 1st then the gio condish after each under the hood for 30 minutes.

I've tried the Giovanni-tee tree and smooth as silk conditioners and I feel the hydrating-calming is the best for my hair based on how it feels.
