Coming up : Proteins, Shiny Hair and Tender Heads

Thank you so much for the lovely reviews of my new magazine. I have not been able to go through all your suggestions just yet but I am setting aside this weekend to do it!

I must also say thank you for participating in the hair thicknesspoll, I will be mashing up the results.

Also coming up shortly:

1. A little bit more on protein treatments
2. Shiny hair - is it an indicator of hair health
3. Tender heads  or harsh hands?

  1. Hi JC,

I am looking forward to reading about all three topics...especially tender heads. I've never considered myself to be tender headed, but the "harsh hands" is a new spin on the subject.

  3. I must say since transitioning(19 mnths) i am more aware of my hair and if my hair is too tight or my hairs feel pulled i feel it and loosen it straightaway. When i used to relax i would choose stylevsmyhair head hurting etc...

  4. Aww! I missed the poll!
Anyway, I must say, I have thick (coarse or dense, whichever one you mean) hair and this will sound crazy, but I swear I've never seen a split end in my life. I've looked and I've looked, but even when I was relaxed, no split ends. Plenty of SSKs though! Not sure what that means, but it seems to be pretty unusual. It's confusing because when I was relaxed, my ends would be see-through and discoloured, so they were obviously unhealthy, so I don't get why my searches remained fruitless. I wanted something to trim so my hair would suddenly start growing fast (apparently)! Oh well...
